Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is provided by USMD at no cost to you and your family members – even those not enrolled in any of our other benefit plans. This program is strictly confidential and can assist you and your family in dealing with life’s challenges.

Paid Time Off

USMD offers a very generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Schedule for full time employees. Paid Time Off covers vacation, sick leave and holidays. PTO benefits begin at 20 days for employees with less than one year’s tenure, and increase to 36 days for those with twenty years or more.M

Retirement Savings Plan

USMD offers a generous 401(k) plan in which you may participate after only three months’ service. USMD will match 50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of the contribution you defer to the plan. Based on your tenure, 0-4 years of service: 50% match; 5-9 years of service: 75% match; 10+ years of service: 100% match.


Insurance plans begin on the first day of the month following thirty continuous days of full-time employment. We offer three competitive plans, all administered by UnitedHealthcare. Each option includes great prescription drug benefits through retail pharmacies and mail order. The difference in the plans is the amount of the deductible and coinsurance.


USMD offers your choice of a Dental PPO or HMO, both administered by Cigna.


Coverage is offered through Spectera, a UnitedHealth Group Company. You may use in or out-of-network vision care providers.

Tuition Reimbursement

Full time employees may receive up to $4,000 per year for courses based on a “C” grade or better if pursuing a degree program related to work duties.
